Today i did not work with Hayzle because im sick and i was so dizzy so i just sat out side her stall and let her get used to me a little more

July 28 2009 Day 12

worked more with Hayzle on leading and lunging and backing up she is getting the hang of it

July 27 2009 Day 11

me and my sis got the halter on Hayzle today she had a fit about it but after awhile she calmed down i also worked on leading she does not like the pressure on her face so she flipped out lol im also working on her backing up

July 26, 2009-Day 10

well Hayzle figured how to get her halter off today but besides that she is making progress

July 25, 2009- Day 9

same as yesterday but not as crazy more calm

July 24, 2009-Day 8

Hayzlette aka Hazle is starting to settle down alittle now me and my sis worked with her today with the lunging she went crazy but after awhile of rearing a bucking she was fine lol

July 23, 2009- Day 7

worked more with lunging, and with the whip now moving down and working with her legs

July 22, 2009- Day 6

STill working on more lunging and more working with the whip on her butt and face

July 21, 2009- Day 5

Still working on putting leadrope to her halter.

July 20, 2009- Day 4

woot woot! Today Hayzle let me pet her neck and rub her butt with the whip without trying to turn and kick or strike out! However our short term goals are to attach a leadrope to her halter so I can begin to work on leading. This will be our largest hurdle as Hayzle will only accept my presence at a certain level.

July 19, 2009- Day 3

After two days of getting to know my mustang, I finally came up with a name for my yearling mustang. I named her Hayzlette aka Hayzle she getting used to me now. I worked with her in the round pen today and did some free lunging. Also was able to take her collar off!

July 18th, 2009- Day 2

Today was our first real training day, and she definately does not like my sister Kristina! Whenever she gets near her she turns to kick! Thankfully she is starting to warm up to me!
she eventually let me rub her with the whip on her back and neck, and I am happy with that for today.

July 17th, 2009- Day 1

I wasnt able to go with to pick up my mustang, but what I know is that I was one of the only youth challenge competitors to get a filly instead of a gelding. Still not sure what to name her, but
she is very spunky she likes to kick.

I am leaning towards a more calm, gentile name like Clover... lol
